Roles we are always hiring for.

Commercial cleaner (custodial technician) New York & New Jersey · Full-time or part-time · $17.00/hr (NY), $15.92/hr (NJ)

Who you are

You show up on time, every time. You take pride in a room looking right when you leave it, and you would rather do the job correctly than quickly. You can work on your feet for a full shift, you follow a checklist without being reminded, and you treat a client's space like it matters. You do not need someone standing over you to do good work.

What this is

A W-2 job with a real employer. You are on the payroll, covered by insurance and workers' comp, and paid for every shift you work. We train you before your first shift and keep training you. Cleaners who are reliable and take the work seriously are the people we move into lead and supervisor roles, and those roles pay meaningfully more. We are always hiring across Long Island, Westchester, New York City, and New Jersey, so there is room to grow and room to pick up more work.

Who we are

Anvil runs commercial cleaning programs across New York and New Jersey. The standard is simple: the work holds on every shift, at every location. We document what we do, we credit a client back when we miss, and we expect the same care from everyone on a crew. We treat the people who do the work as the reason the company exists.

What you'll do

  • Clean assigned spaces to the standard set for that account: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and disinfecting.
  • Arrive on time for every scheduled shift, and check in with your supervisor when you arrive and when you leave.
  • Wear the proper uniform and PPE, and follow the safety steps for the chemicals and equipment you use.
  • Flag supply shortages, damage, or anything off to your supervisor right away.
  • Work with the rest of the crew so the whole space is done right and on time.

What we look for

  • You are dependable and on time. This is the part that matters most.
  • You can handle the physical side: on your feet, lifting, bending, a full shift.
  • You take direction and follow a scope of work.
  • You are authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Prior commercial or janitorial cleaning experience.
  • Comfort with floor equipment, or willingness to learn it.
  • English or Spanish, either is fine for this role.

Details

  • Full-time and part-time shifts: daytime, evening or overnight, and weekends.
  • Regions: Long Island, Westchester, New York City, and New Jersey.
  • W-2 employment with paid training and a basic uniform provided.
  • Pay: $17.00/hour in New York (New York City, Long Island, Westchester). $15.92/hour in New Jersey.
  • Benefits: 401(k) and paid time off.

Janitorial supervisor New York & New Jersey · Full-time · $22 to $30/hr · English and Spanish required

Who you are

You run a tight operation. You hold a standard across several locations at once, you catch the thing a client would have caught before they do, and you would rather fix a problem on site tonight than explain it tomorrow. People work hard for you because you are fair and you do not cut corners. You can manage a crew and still pick up a microfiber cloth yourself.

What this is

A W-2 supervisor role running cleaning crews across a set of accounts. You own whether those locations hold the standard, night after night. It is hands-on: you inspect, you correct, you cover a shift when someone calls out, and you keep the office informed. Strong supervisors are how this company grows, and we back them with the pay, the people, and the support to run their accounts well.

Who we are

Anvil runs commercial cleaning programs across New York and New Jersey. The standard is simple: the work holds on every shift, at every location. We document what we do, we credit a client back when we miss, and we hold supervisors to the same standard we sell to clients. We treat the people who do the work as the reason the company exists.

What you'll do

  • Oversee day-to-day cleaning across your assigned locations and keep every one of them to the company standard.
  • Walk each site regularly, cloth in hand, correcting deficiencies as you go and documenting what you fixed with photos or video.
  • Confirm your technicians arrive on schedule and are delivering the work the contract calls for.
  • Keep each location stocked, and replenish supplies before anyone runs short.
  • Handle call-outs and arrange coverage so a shift is never dropped.
  • Address client concerns directly, investigate what happened, follow up on site, and document the resolution.
  • Recruit and train new technicians as accounts grow or turnover happens.
  • Report hours accurately and submit daily sign-in logs to the office.

What we look for

  • Experience supervising people, ideally in commercial cleaning, facilities, or a similar hands-on operation.
  • The judgment to spot a problem early and the follow-through to close it.
  • Comfort being on site and doing the work, not only directing it.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, since you will manage a bilingual crew.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Floor care experience: stripping, waxing, burnishing, carpet extraction.
  • Familiarity with hospital-grade disinfection and infection-control protocols.

Details

  • Full-time, W-2, with paid training.
  • Regions: Long Island, Westchester, New York City, and New Jersey.
  • Pay: $22 to $30 per hour, based on experience.
  • Benefits: 401(k) and paid time off.
