PARTNERS · SUBCONTRACTOR

The cleaning crew under your contract.

Anvil performs cleaning work as a subcontractor under a prime contractor's existing contract across New York and New Jersey. You keep the client. We are the labor and execution layer for the scope you cannot or do not want to self-perform.

The Reality

When you self-perform cleaning, it is your risk.

.01

Cleaning scope is rarely your core work.

A prime often carries cleaning scope it would rather not self-perform: recurring janitorial across a portfolio, periodic floor care, disinfection, or post-event resets. Staffing, supervising, and insuring that labor pulls focus and people off the work you actually win contracts on.

.02

1099 day labor is a liability you carry.

Filling cleaning scope with 1099 day labor moves the risk onto your contract. Misclassification exposure, no workers' comp behind the worker, and inconsistent crews all attach to the prime when something goes wrong on site.

.03

Surges and specialty scopes break a fixed crew.

A standing crew cannot absorb a sudden surge, a second shift, or a specialty scope like floor refinishing or electrostatic disinfection without scrambling. The overflow either gets covered well or it shows up as a complaint to the client, under your name.

.04

A subcontractor either protects the contract or threatens it.

The cleaning subcontractor works inside your client relationship. One that is insured, documented, and disciplined reinforces your contract every shift. One that is not becomes a hole in your coverage and a risk to the relationship you hold.

Our Approach

Built to work under your contract.

W-2 crews, fully insured.

Anvil supplies W-2 employed crews, not 1099 day labor. $2MM general liability and full workers' compensation behind every person on site. Certificates of insurance delivered within 48 hours, with your firm named as additional insured. The labor risk does not land on your contract.

Overflow, surge, and specialty scope.

Use Anvil for the scope you do not want to self-perform or cannot staff fast enough: recurring janitorial, overflow and surge capacity, floor care, disinfection and electrostatic spraying, high dusting, and emergency response. We crew to the scope and the timeline you hand us.

Documented execution, your client stays yours.

Every shift is documented and photographed with a written service log, and missed shifts are auto-credited. We report to you, operate under your contract, and do not pursue your client directly. You stay the prime; we stay the execution layer.

How We Operate

What you get from the subcontract, in writing.

W-2 crews, not 1099 day labor

Every cleaner is a W-2 employee of Anvil, background-checked and trained. No misclassification exposure passed through to your contract, and consistent crews rather than a rotating pool.

$2MM insured, COIs in 48 hours

$2MM general liability and full workers' compensation. Certificates of insurance delivered within 48 hours of request, with your firm named as additional insured. COIs structured to satisfy your prime contract's requirements.

Non-poach on your client

Anvil operates under your contract and does not pursue your client directly. We do not solicit, cross-sell, or expand into the relationship without you. The client stays the prime's, for the duration of the engagement.

Full NY and NJ submarket coverage

Crews available across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester, Long Island, and New Jersey. One subcontractor across the submarkets your projects span, instead of a different vendor per borough.

Overflow and surge capacity

Capacity to absorb a surge, a second shift, or a short-notice scope without you having to staff up. We scale crews to the work and stand down when the scope closes.

Specialty scopes you may not self-perform

Floor care, disinfection and electrostatic spraying, high dusting, and emergency response, available as subcontracted scope so you can carry the work without owning the equipment, training, or labor.

Our Commitment

We work under your name.

A subcontractor is only worth having if it protects the contract it works under. We execute the scope, document the work, carry the insurance, and stay out of your client relationship. You keep the client. We keep the standard.

How It Runs

How a subcontract engagement actually runs.

.01

Scope and subcontract terms

We confirm the scope you want to subcontract, the geography, the volume, and the insurance and reporting your prime contract requires. Terms, including non-poach and additional-insured COIs, are set in writing before crews mobilize.

.02

Mobilization and COIs

COIs are issued within 48 hours with your firm named as additional insured. W-2 crews are assigned and briefed on the documented scope and any site-specific access or security requirements before the first shift.

.03

Documented shifts, reported to you

Each shift is documented and photographed with a written service log. Issues are flagged to your point of contact, not to the client. Missed shifts are auto-credited. You stay in control of what the client sees.

.04

Surge, specialty, and stand-down

Scale crews up for a surge or a specialty scope, then stand down cleanly when the work closes. The engagement flexes to your contract instead of locking you into a fixed crew you do not always need.

Why Anvil

We are the labor layer under your contract.

When you subcontract cleaning, you are handing a piece of your contract to someone else's crew. The risk is that the subcontractor is uninsured, undisciplined, or quietly trying to get to your client. Any of those turns a convenience into a liability inside the relationship you hold.

We built Anvil to be the opposite: W-2 crews, $2MM insured with COIs in 48 hours and your firm named as additional insured, documented and photographed shifts, full coverage across every NY and NJ submarket, and a written non-poach so we never pursue your client directly. You stay the prime. We stay the execution layer that makes your scope hold.
