Service · Restroom Sanitation

Restrooms that pass the first-impression test.

A restroom is where tenants and visitors quietly judge a building. Disinfection, restocking, floor and grout detail, and real odor control on a documented program, so the restroom never becomes the reason someone remembers your space.

What's Included

The full restroom scope.

.01

Disinfection of fixtures and touchpoints

Toilets, urinals, sinks, handles, flush valves, and dispensers cleaned and disinfected with EPA-registered product at proper dwell time.

.02

Consumable restocking

Toilet paper, towels, soap, and seat covers monitored and refilled so the restroom never runs out between scheduled cleans.

.03

Floor and grout detail

Floors and grout scrubbed, not just mopped, since most of what makes a restroom look and smell old lives in the grout lines.

.04

Odor control and drains

Drains flushed and treated and the areas behind fixtures cleaned, attacking the source of odor instead of masking it with fragrance.

How It's Scheduled

Cleaned and verified.

Nightly clean plus day checks

A full disinfection at night, with day-porter checks and restocking through business hours so restrooms hold up during the busy stretch, not just at open.

EPA-registered, proper dwell

Disinfectants are EPA-registered and left on for their listed contact time, so high-touch surfaces are actually disinfected rather than just wiped.

Documented and logged

Routes and checks are documented so you can see what was done and when, which matters when a tenant or auditor asks.

Where It Fits

Where restroom programs matter most.

Restrooms carry outsized weight: they are the surface tenants, patients, and customers use to decide whether a building is well-run. A dedicated restroom program protects that impression and the building's reputation along with it.

It layers on top of recurring janitorial and pairs with day porter service for midday checks; high-compliance settings also overlap with disinfection and sanitizing.

Common fits: corporate offices, medical and healthcare, gyms and fitness, retail and storefronts, and educational facilities.

FAQ

Restroom sanitation, answered.

How often should commercial restrooms be cleaned?+

High-traffic commercial restrooms need a full clean and disinfection at least once per day, with day-porter checks and restocking throughout business hours on top. The right cadence depends on traffic: a busy lobby or gym restroom may need several checks a day, while a small private-office restroom may only need a nightly clean.

What disinfectants do you use in restrooms?+

Anvil uses EPA-registered disinfectants and respects the listed dwell (contact) time so surfaces are actually disinfected, not just wiped. High-touch points such as handles, flush valves, faucets, and dispensers get particular attention because they carry the most transfer risk.

Is restocking of supplies included?+

Yes. A restroom program includes monitoring and restocking consumables such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and seat covers so restrooms do not run out between cleans. Anvil can supply the consumables or work from your stock, whichever you prefer.

How do you handle restroom odor?+

Persistent restroom odor usually comes from urine and biofilm in grout, drains, and behind fixtures, not from the air, so we treat the source: detailing floors and grout, flushing and treating drains, and cleaning the areas around and behind fixtures rather than masking it with fragrance.
